“Wow! I wish I was able to give this 10 stars instead of 5. The food was amazing. We had the spicy lobster, sizzling lamb (which came out actually sizzling), Kung pao chicken, broccoli beef and the soup dumplings. The family style eating was wonderful. We were all able to get a taste of all the dishes. The service was phenomenal. Very attentive to all our needs. My favorite was the lobster. I’m from New England and have had lots of lobster and I can tell you that this was the tastiest out of all. Thanks for a great experience. We will definitely come back!”

When I lived in the Seattle area, I used to eat at a restaurant called Szechuan First probably once a week, for its excellent Chongqing chicken. Tianluo’s is better.
My husband got the steamed sea bass with chopped chili peppers. He had enough food for three days, and he ate it for almost every meal, he loved it so much. He talks about this dish constantly.
Folks, good food is worth the wait. Restaurants like these in Wichita are gems.

This place is amazing. We regularly visit Chinatowns in Chicago and NYC and this place stands up amongst the best from either place. We had the steamed dumplings with minced pork and gravy, sautéed pork intestines, boiled fish and pickled cabbage soup and hand-pulled noodles and I can wholeheartedly recommend all of them. The dumplings, were fantastic and weren’t just regular dumplings, but soup dumplings. The intestines were perfectly spicy, salty, porky and a little sweet. The soup was a surprise, as we didn’t know it was soup when we ordered it, but what a pleasant surprise! The broth was light and flavorful, the fish was tender andflaky and the pickled cabbage was the perfect sour counterbalance to the light broth. And the noodles. THE NOODLES. WERE. AMAZING. You can taste the time and expertise in every bite. Chewy, and tender, springy and supple. They are perfect and you owe it to yourself to try them.

This place is spectacular. Very friendly people. Extremely large menu with authentic shezuan dishes. We ordered way too much food and were glad we did. Everybody had something different that was their favorite. The spicy beef noodles were amazing. The minced meat dumplings were enjoyed by everyone. And they came to the table steaming. My wife and daughter loved the eggplant. Go here and take a culinary tour of China. You will be glad you did.

I also work at Food industry so I normally don’t write reviews about food, I believe every chef/cook might have different taste than me. I was skeptical when I saw the reviews of Tianluo Bistro, authentic Sichuan food in Wichita? so I decided to check it out. When I was in China I would fly to Chengdu to get some good Sichuan food, I would say, this restaurant didn’t disappoint me, the chef really is doing what he loves, the food is 100% on par with the tasted from Chengdu. Definitely going back in next business trip to Wichita.
